An attempt to declare the Glory of God for what He has chosen to do with our lives. A legacy to leave to my children in the telling of it.

On a Quiet Morning

On a quiet morning
when the world was unaware
an angel was working
though none knew where.

A stone was rolled,
a grave unveiled
to show an empty tomb.
Glory was revealed.

One morning.
One man.
One God.
One plan.

Sin and it's payment
were revealed that morning
by one man rising from the grave;
Christ accomplished the atoning.

Nailed to the cross
on a tree made for theives
hung our Lord Jesus
with few who would grieve.

His life was given freely,
a ransom for the chosen.
His God to glorify
above any other reason.

Laid in a cold tomb.
Left to be forgotten by man.
The people never realizing
that God had another plan.

The angel was sent that morning
to whisper His holy name.
He rolled away the stone
and the world would never be the same.

The cries that went up
on the way to the tomb that day
were quickly changed to shouts
as they went back on their way.

Realizing the plan
involved a cross and a tomb.
All sinners can be washed clean.
In heaven there are many rooms.

Admit your sins today.
Come clean before the cross.
A savior is waiting
and has paid all the costs.

His blood has paid the price
so justice may reign.
God glorified;
forever worship His name.

His children are called
to obey the God above.
The God of our Lord Jesus.
The God of love.

Remember that quiet morning
when the world was unaware
that an angel was working
though none knew where.
