Grace has a very tender spot for little animals, especially little furry animals in the mouths of dogs. 
Hence the reason this little chipmunk had the pleasure of being snuggled on the couch in the living room. 
For all of her doctoring and loving and rescuing the poor little thing twice it still did not make it. 
Off to find the next little critter to rescue.

Awwwwww....sweet Grace. I'm sorry that this one didn't make it. We've had our share of those injured creatures in our house too. Some are able to recover and some aren't. The important thing is that we continue to care, and do what we can, accepting when even our best isn't enough.
awww hope Grace took it well. She has a big heart! And you are a great mom for letting her do it. Way to nourish her dreams!
