Hello! My Name (is not) Johnny Cash

But he sure sounded an awfully lot like him! And it is the closest this side of heaven that I will get to seeing him in person. Now, my little obsession with Johnny Cash is maybe teetering on warping my children or at least driving them crazy, but I am sure enjoying it. Other people in my life have only fed and humoured the little passion with CD's, T-shirts, memorabilia, and then my Mom topped it all of by inviting me to a Johnny Cash reenactment (the kids got a kick out of that!)
It was at a beautiful park, and the weather was perfect. What a great night! My only disappointment was that there was no June~ I could have played the part, I sound just like her when the van radio is blaring.... Oh you big mouth woman.....

I lived in Branson, MO for a long long time ... It was during the time Johnny and his daughters were performing at one of the theaters there. One day in the grocery store I heard his voice behind me. I turned around and saw him just a few feet behind me. He was in regular old jeans and his hair was sort of a mess. I smiled at him and he smiled back. That was special.

Brenda, You are a star in my book now too!! I would have made a big blubbering fool of myself if I saw him behind me in a supermarket!!! Like I did while I was waitressing (my 4 day waitressing career) when I served "Heart"!!!!! I was so star struck that I could hardly speak and I was not really into their kinda music. Now I like me some Johnny Cash!!

Terri~ I have this vision in my mind of you as June along side "the not Johnny Cash" singing "Times a Wasting" and then "Jackson"!! Later on in the evening you two sing "If I were a Carpenter"!!! My favorites of theirs and I have a lot more on my MP3!! I would love to go to a JC reenactment !!!!!!!! What fun!!!
