We have tried to dry them before but they are so messy that we don't bother anymore. But I do understand that there is some value in the wood. Right about now I could dream up a few projects out of some pretty wood, or we could always put the money in a college fund, or a camera fund, or mom wants a front entry fund.
An attempt to declare the Glory of God for what He has chosen to do with our lives. A legacy to leave to my children in the telling of it.

The Sky is Falling!
The sky is falling! The sky is falling! The trip from the house to the barn has just become dangerous at our house. We have a great big black walnut tree in our yard that we have to pass under to get to the barn every day and the walnuts are ripe so they are dropping without warning. For a while Micah was convinced that the squirrel that has been tormenting Lady was throwing them at us. One dropped about a foot away from his head the other day when he stopped for a second too long.
