The one thing that made a surprising appearance in the garden after we gave up on it this summer was the Zinnia's. Amongst the weeds and the plants that really never got too far out of the ground before they were rained out were rows of beautiful flowers. We have had a couple of good frosts so I showed the kids how to harvest the seeds so we could replant them next year. The morning glories are still on the trellis drying waiting for another day for us to harvest them.
