I Need a Vacation from my Vacation

Labor Day means a long weekend at our favorite family camp. It symbolizes the end of summer and the beginning of another school year. We all came home exhausted, but refreshed in a weekend full of good friends, good memories, and good encouragement from a great speaker.

We indulge in quiet walks and special time.

The talent show is always a highlight of the weekend.
As well as the great outdoors and ropes courses.

The only brave, adventuresome thing I did the whole weekend was to swing on the rope swing. And I didn't even fall into the "peanut butter"!

My twin sister's family attends camp as well. Yes, we do look a little bit alike. We have fun teasing her twins about who's who because they can't always figure out which one of us is which, either.

For some reason I thought the second time around at camp wouldn't be so hard, but memories of Trent were everywhere. Tears were shed over empty bunk beds, worship songs, and camouflage capris.

Even though the weather was cool, the kids still swam. Brrr!

They all enjoyed this new game of gaa-gaa (spelling??).
And of course no family vacation is complete without bringing home a new farm critter!

Looks like a great weekend getaway. Burrrr to the swimming though. The weather around here has been pretty chilly. I couldn't even imagine jumping in to swim!

Love all the "twin" pics! And the smiles! (The pic of you on the swing and the girl with her hands on her head is precious!) Love all the rest too... Alexis singing? Grace being graceful. Micah on the move. And Cole...he has a Noah Ministry in his heart. Looks like a wonderful way to officially close out summer.
