The Countdown Begins

The countdown is on ~ only two more days until Goat Watch 2013 officially begins.

Two older does are due next week, with their first potential due date (if I calculated correctly) being Saturday, but most likely happening later on in the week. Three more does are scheduled for the middle to end of the month, and the last three will be a guessing game after that.

If the weather doesn't warm up considerably before then they will be birthing in the old wood-filled basement again -- right next to the 100 chicks that are scheduled for arrival next week and the five baby bunnies that were born this morning . . .

I can't WAIT for updates! I sure hope we can come out soon to see the babies before they get too big (once they're born of course)! =)

Praying that all goes well, and that there's lots of does. =)

Sounds like you're going to have lots of new babies very soon. I was thinking about you this morning and wondering if you'd had any kids yet. I've had 91 so far since 1/12/13. They've given me a little break the past 3 days. But, I've got several in the kidding area ready to pop. I pray that you have a successful kidding season!

Baby goast popping up all over the farm blogs! We sold all ours after our last child flew the coop, after owning them for two decades but now thinking about getting a couple for the GK's. Will we ever LEARN?!?!
