Just Another Day

I was talking to Grandma Lee on the phone the other day. She asked the simple question "So, what's happening today?" "Oh, just the normal. Cole rescued a baby crow from the mud in the chicken coop and has it in a clothes basket in the kitchen (that is, when it hasn't escaped and isn't flying all around my house) and there's a big frog lost somewhere underneath the refrigerator."

I had a little revelation as to where my calm attitude was inherited from when she replied, "I heard crows are really easy to train." Now there's a project for Cole!

The sad ending of the story: when Dad came home the crow was flying around and flew right out the door when he opened it. The frog~ well, there's rumours that he also escaped into the great jungle which is our yard, but then again, I haven't gotten the official word on that from the official man who was said to have mouthed those words. Just another normal day in our life.

Gotta love them boys! My oldest went to stay with grandma one time and while there grandma went to the shed on day and found a small alligator my son was keeping in there :)

Oh boy, I had to laugh! I love your Mom, and I love YOU!!

Now, what is it with giant toads right now? Traci's crew just hauled one in too, as did Paige and Nathan!

What FUN!

Is THAT where the calm attitude comes from??? I needed this good laugh today!!! Still giggling!

And Cathy, glad your house is joining in on the toad fun. :)

LOL...Cole is a young man after my heart. I would love to train a crow. However, your sad ending may have saved you some $$ and/or jail time. :) Check this out. (And yes, crows are also covered under the Federal Migratory Bird Act...) http://wusa9.com/news/article/161065/158/Woodpecker-Saving-Daughter-Costs-Mom-500
