Goats

We've still been playing our daily game of "chase the goats" around here. We keep telling them that all they have to do is stand in their lush green pasture and eat the grass, but Nooooo, they insist on sneaking through the fence to eat in the horse pasture. Then, not being satisfied with the grass that was on that side of the fence, they sneak through yet another fence to eat in my yard or flower gardens. Their favorite variety seems to be the morning glories that we have waited for two years to bloom. Another strand of electric fence just went on the never-ending list. Goats .... you've gotta love 'em to keep 'em.

Oh you are so right about those goats! Pesky but so cute. Wow, I've read so much about Morning Glory being poisonous that I've been scared to death if my goats get any of it..maybe my info has been wrong? Teresa

My fence is not working right now... They are staying in it but have started sneaking their heads through by the roses! Which I planted to be able to come up on both sides of the fence but they aren't giving it a fighting chance...

Feeling the love Dalyn:)) Yep, I could use a little extra lately:))

Hugs right back Momma Hooch! We say around here, as we're laughing, "I'm not laughing at you, I'm laughing with you!"

You are very dear to me Brenda:)) Thanks for the sweet comment!

Yes, Farmgirl, I have had the same fear about morning glories ... but two years and over a dozen goats later have proved the statistics all wrong I guess. That and lilac bushes I've always worried about, but don't you know they're the favorites and no ill side affects. What's wrong with the green grass??

Oh yes~ roses Tonia~ my one lonely bush was ate years ago by goats!

Ain't that the way...even goats think the grass is greener on the other side. :) So far, ours are happy where they are, as the electric fence keeps them from "testing the waters". Enjoy those beauties!
