Lady Dog used to have it pretty easy around the farm.
She does a fine job of holding down the couch and licking visitors when they arrive. She rarely chews up shoes, is a kids best friend, and tolerates everything.
But her status has now changed; it's time to earn her keep like the rest of the critters that live here.
Thanks to
Sherry . . . meet Lady the Musher Dog!
Sherry has 24 sled dogs on her little rustic farm, (besides Mustang horses) and offers training and dog rides for those who are interested. You'll be glad to go visit her blog and see her fabulous photos, too.
The kids have been having fun with their own dog training.
Cole, Grace and Micah thank you for the harnesses, Sherry!
And Lady Dog, too {I am sure}, thanks you!

That's too cute! I'm not sure Lady Dog is looking thankful. They sure look like they're all having fun though. :D
I love it! A post featuring two of the blogs I follow regularly. Wishing you both a very special holiday season.
HO HO HO...I'm laughing a hearty belly laugh upon seeing this! Lady looks decked out. :~) The fancy red harness (not pictured) is also a weight pull/freight-pulling harness. ~:) Lady will love the opportunity, once it "clicks" with everyone! I just wish we were closer to let the kids have a snowy sled ride pulled by our "gang". Even Lady would be impressed! :~) Keep us posted!
Lady dog looks a little unsure :)
That is so nice of Sherry. Looks like fun! Blessings from Ringle
I reckon it'll be good exercise for the dog as long as the kids don't overdo it!
Don't worry about Lady folks...there's a saying in the dogsledding world. "You can't push a rope". They have to want to pull. ~:) Siberian and Alaskan Huskies, like we own, scream to go. That being said, we have friends who have Dobermans, Bernese Mountain Dogs, German Shepherds, Border Collies, and other breeds (yes, Labs) who love to pull. :~) It's all about training the humans. :)
haha. BOTH seem to be having a blast.
Thanks friends:)) Yep~ they're all having fun!
What fun! Our big Great Pyrenees would look great in that harness.
On another topic...the best topic...I put my copy of your book in our guest room tonight next to the bed. My brother-in-law is coming for a visit, in the middle of his own loss-a divorce- and I am hopeful he will find your words and God's word helpful.
Thanks for writing it.
Well now I'm crying Donna . . . praying, too:))
Donna ~ what a wonderful idea. I'm going to place a copy in our guest cabin! There's nothing to do there, but read! By headlamp! Ohhh...God will work in mighty ways!
Ha-ha-ha Sherry! Love it! You can't push a rope!
And Terri, the pharmacy ladies want a copy of your book, especially at this time of year, so stop and talk to them or drop a card. ;)
