The Poor Momma's Camera Give Away

As I've been sorting through my pictures in an all out attempt to organize them and eventually print them into book format, I have been so saddened by the many months that I only had a cheap digital camera. I don't say that whining, because at the time a $30 Dollar Store camera was wonderful. But as grateful as I am to have all those fuzzy memories, and as much as I realize we couldn't financially justify a nicer camera at the time, it still makes me sad to have hundreds of blurry pictures of my children. So, in the spirit of the giving season, I am glad to be able to host:

The Poor Momma's Camera Give Away

I realize that there must be other Momma's out there in the same position that I was in a few years ago, that, for whatever reason, you find yourself with no digital camera in this age of digital everything. So, I am offering to the lucky winner a Canon Black PowerShot SX160 IS 16MP 16x Optical Zoom Digital Camera, with a 8GB memory card and 2 year warranty from WalMart.

Canon Black PowerShot SX160 IS 16MP 16x Optical Zoom Digital Camera

The rules are simple: just leave a comment on this post for a chance to win.

The details: I'll close the contest in one week, December 11, 2013 at midnight, and pick a winner soon after so you can hopefully get the camera in time for taking Christmas pictures. Shipping only to the lower United States. Please, only enter if you are truly in need. It doesn't have to be dire straights, but let's give somebody deserving a camera the chance to win. You don't have to technically be a Momma to enter, just somebody in need. This contest is hosted by MoreGloryMinistries. Feel free to share this post on your blogs, etc, etc. Let the praise go to God!

Good luck!

Just a sappy side note to all you Momma's who don't need a camera but have taken the time to comment anyway~ I love ya all! So glad to have you as bloggy friends:)

Having a camera would be a blessing. I have missed so many precious moments because I don't have a good camera and have to borrow one each year for our Christmas card. This is a very tight Christmas for us so this would be a huge blessing.

No need to enter me but just wanted to say what a nice thing you are doing. I don't always comment but do read on a regular basis. I hope the camera goes to someone very deserving. It's so refreshing to 'hear' you coming 'back to life'. So, if I don't comment again I wanted to wish you & yours a very Merry Christmas.

Great idea Terri, I have the camera on my phone and while it works great for some things it would be great to have a real camera for catching the kids at their sports or on the move with their horses. The phone just does not cut it sometimes. I have not gotten one because well there are other items and people to spend money on. Have a Merry Christmas!

Wow! Talk about perfect timing for me to decide to sit down and catch up with you all. Must be a God thing!

As you know, we've had camera problems for quite some time. I bought a cheap garage sale camera a year or two ago to replace the good one that we'd had for years before, but that one is now on the outs too. Like you, I have pages and pages of fuzzy captures that make my heart ache. I feel like I've missed out on so many opportunities, especially with a newborn in the house. I'd be so blessed to receive this.

Thank you for the sweet offer, my friend!

I would love a camera to take pictures of my kids growing. My kids are getting older than I think they should be. It seems like yesterday they were babies and here I have 1 going into drivers ed. How is that possible? It would be a great blessing to get a camera with 7 kids money is stretched thin this year.
Merry Christmas and blessings to you.

Terri,
I don't need the camera, just want to say I've been reading your blog for the past 3 years. You and your family have made me smile and cry. Please know that you have been in my prayers. A blessed, peaceful Christmas blessing from Tennessee.

Such a sweet lady ~ always thinking of others! I posted on my now re-activated Facebook page for others to check out. You don't need to enter me in the contest. I'm "camera free" now, and it feels o.k. Enjoy the days leading up to Christmas!

I was just praying for a camera! I work with a non-prophet organization in Oklahoma. We empower young people ages 15+ to teach and inspire children in the public schools of Oklahoma to develop character in their lives. We also do after school Bible Clubs in the the public schools. I have been serving with this ministry for the past year. This past Fall I had the opportunity to do graphics design. It has been awesome to see children who's lives have been torn apart by broken family's come to realize there is a Savior who loves them and died for them!

May God richly bless you! Merry Christmas!

Hi Terri, I would love this camera! I have been DREAMING of a camera like this for as long as I remember :) we have always had other things we had to get for the family instead, trying to convince the husband that this is a necessity to take pictures of the kids does not seem to be working for me ( ha ha ) Anyway I have been reading your blogs since we bought that billy goat from you , you are very inspiring and a truly gifted writer and photographer !
