An attempt to declare the Glory of God for what He has chosen to do with our lives. A legacy to leave to my children in the telling of it.

The Wife of Noble Character

She gets up while it is still dark;
She provides food for her family
and portions for her servant girls.
Proverbs 31: 15

I certainly have a long way to go to become the Excellent Wife, but there are a few things I have learned along the way. As important as it is to prepare the physical food for your family early in the morning it is also so important to prepare the spiritual food. By filling up on scripture and prayer before the kiddos wake up we as mothers, especially tired mothers of young children, provide for our families by being living examples of what Christ calls us to be. It is so much easier to be patient and loving and kind when we have spent time with our Lord. The days I neglect this are the days I struggle the most. If we aren't in the word how will we know how to minister to those around us who need the word?

Her children will arise and call her blessed;
Her husband also, and he praises her.
Proverbs 31:28
