You know how there are those people in your life that marry your sister and you are kind of stuck with them?? Yah, me too. It helps at least, 15 or 16 years later, that they keep bringing you presents. It sort of equals out all the times they annoy your children or give you wet willies. But I don't know who teases who most, so I guess the poor guy has to put up with me, too. The latest large gift Uncle Jim brought me was a new/used washing machine. As if Trent dying wasn't enough of an issue in my life (oh I miss that kid) the van brakes, and now the truck brakes have gone out, as well as the washer finally giving it's final spin and going out on us as well. Menard's was too much of an emotional decision to pick from the dozen latest and greatest washers on sale with rebates besides, so we walked out and let the laundry pile up another day. A couple of sweet ladies and their children came to my aide and humbled me greatly (again) by washing my dirty laundry, and then came Uncle Jim to the rescue in his brightly glowing (get out the sunglasses), business advertising shirt with a washing machine on the back of his trailer. It made me want to shower him with affirmation while he hooked it up and made sure it worked. Oh honey, you were worth putting up with for all these years. Love you! #3 I should have made him pose with a pitchfork~ do we not scream Wisconsin Hicks American Gothic??! Except of course we're smiling and that house has a much cuter front window and better siding than mine. Okay, okay, I'll lay off the coffee now and go milk my goats.
What a guy! Glad to hear people are lovin' on you!
