Good Morning Farm

Years ago Aunt Traci had given the kids a book called "Goodnight Farm" with beautiful pictures of a farm going to sleep. I couldn't help but think about it as Cole and I did chores this morning. The menagerie of critters that we have sustain my sanity some days. Their very presence brings me peace (most of the time). Cole understands.

The calves reminding us not to forget them this morning.

The goats impatiently waiting for their breakfast.

The Light Brahmas.

Cole's Silkies. The barnyard cats and their too-friendly kittens.
The bunnies.

And the new little peepers.

Good Morning Farm.

  1. Your farm is beautiful this morning. Looks a lot like ours. It brings great peace to me, as well. I am so glad it is doing the same for you! Have a great week.

  3. Awww .. what a wonderful way to start the day with all those critters. One of my favorite things to do in the mornings now is to open the gate to the goat yard and lead my goats out to pasture. It is such an awesome feeling to have 45 does moving with me. Some want morning rubs and kisses and some simply want to get out to the best grasses first!

  6. Beautiful post. Animals are certainly therapy at times. Stepping into our dog yard, greeted by 24 big sled dogs, each wanting your attention, is a wonderful feeling. I always leave there, a better person.
